Termly Payments

It is easiest for us if you use online banking - don't forget to use your initial and surname as a reference and also please let Ann Brewer know you have paid.

Our bank account details are as follows

Account Name             Forest Row Choral Society   (HSBC East Grinstead)

Sort Code                      40 20 09                   Account Number   51259199

Please pay promptly at the beginning of each term - thank you.

If you don't use online banking, then a cheque made out to FRCS should be given to Ann Brewer at a rehearsal as early in the term as possible.

As of September 2016 the termly amount is £65.  Please help us by completing a Gift Aid form if you are a tax payer - see below.

We suggest you bookmark the following resources in your brower to help you with practice - each site is different, but between them you will find most major choral works that we are likely to sing.

Spring Term - Dvorak Mass

NB  EXTRA REHEARSAL Thursday 28th March !!

Rehearsing weekly from 8th January, from 8pm to 10pm at Forest Row Primary School as usual.

Dvorak rehearsals are going well... but we need to be really on top of all this music!  With this in mind, please do practice at home and the following resources might help you:

Mass in D Major

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLQ-uHxXWlU&feature=youtu.be   Dvorak Mass on YouTube

Cyberbass individual parts are available here for "note bashing" http://www.cyberbass.com/Major_Works/Dvorak_A/dvorak_mass_in_d.htm

Stabat Mater

Youtube recording for getting it "in your head" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJr5Gzaa2ig

Also, available on Cyberbass for part practice  http://www.cyberbass.com/Major_Works/Dvorak_A/dvorak_stabat_mater.htm

Tickets are available at rehearsals - without an audience all our work is for nought - it is a lovely concert with beautiful music that is easy on the ear even if not familiar.. do encourage friends and family!

Flyers are also available at rehearsals - stick one in your car, your window, your neighbours' letterboxes...

Future Term Dates

Our start dates are still to be finalised, but fundamentally our rehearsals always run within the school terms which can be found by clicking the link here:   school terms

SOMETIMES we break during half-terms - but this is confirmed from term to term at the weekly rehearsals.

Summer Term 2019  will commence Tuesday 23rd April 2019.  The summer concert  will be hosted by the U3A choir, and we will be coming together with Tom’s other East Grinstead choir, the Sackville Singers.

The concert will be at 7.00pm on Saturday 6 July at the Jubilee Hall in East Grinstead amd will comprise a  programmed of pieces along similar lines to the past two summer concerts in terms of musical mix.
